Model for connecting tea growers and retailers
I propose to set up a network that will help to connect tea producers and retailers from across the world. Presently too many middlemen come in between the chain and in the name of branding the costs in the chain shoot up sharply and the consumer does not get the best of teas . In this case close feedback and communication will help growers make the right blends based on retailer feedback or benchmarking . Logistics hubs will be needed to be prepared in various countries with cooperation from retailers and producers to execute this dream. Tea as a category is bound to boom especially on health grounds and the consumer is bound to gain . Better realization for producers would help them take care of labour and deliver better quality along with enhanced margins.
