Hangover Relief Tisane Recipe

Ingredients:

  1. Ginger - 1–2 teaspoons of fresh grated or 1/2 teaspoon dried

    • Benefits: Helps soothe the stomach and reduce nausea.

  2. Peppermint - 1 teaspoon dried or a few fresh leaves

    • Benefits: Eases headaches, improves digestion, and reduces bloating.

  3. Milk Thistle - 1 teaspoon dried

    • Benefits: Supports liver health and helps detoxify the body.

  4. Dandelion Root - 1 teaspoon dried

    • Benefits: Acts as a gentle diuretic, helping the body flush out toxins while also supporting liver function.

  5. Lemon Peel - Fresh peel from 1/4 lemon or a small slice of lemon

    • Benefits: Contains antioxidants and provides a dose of Vitamin C, which may help combat fatigue.

  6. Honey - 1 teaspoon (optional)

    • Benefits: Provides a natural source of sugar to help balance blood sugar, which can be affected after drinking.

Instructions:

  1. Boil 2 cups of water and add all herbs.

  2. Reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 10-15 minutes.

  3. Strain the tisane into a mug and add honey if desired.

  4. Sip slowly and rehydrate, ideally with more water throughout the morning.

This combination can help reduce nausea, support liver detoxification, and soothe headache symptoms. Drinking additional water with a pinch of sea salt or a sports drink alongside the tisane can also aid in rehydration and electrolyte balance.
